Southwest Louisiana’s beloved meteorologist, Ben Terry, passed away on August 13, 2023, after a courageous battle with cancer. Known not only for his trusted weather forecasts but also for his unwavering spirit and compassion, Ben left a lasting mark on the community he loved so dearly.
To honor his legacy, The Ben Terry Endowment Fund was established to carry forward his passion for service.
The fund supports causes close to Ben’s heart, including First Baptist Church of Lake Charles, Hobo Hotel for Cats, Abraham’s Tent, and Hope Lodge in Houston, ensuring that his generosity and community spirit continue to shine in Southwest Louisiana and beyond.
