THE CHERRY RIDGE FRIENDS SCHOLARSHIP FUND
IN HONOR OF KIM ARMITAGE AND CINDY WILLIAMS
“I would rather walk with a friend in the dark, than alone in the light.” – Helen Keller
The Cherry Ridge Friends Scholarship has been established by Julie Kinnaird McCall in memory of her childhood friends, Kim Armitage and Cindy Williams, to honor their friendship that began while attending Cherry Ridge Christian School. True friends can be difficult to find. Knowing the value of friendship and being there when your friends need you can make the world a better, kinder place.
Kimberly Armitage Parrino Mott was born in Bastrop, Louisiana on March 4, 1970. She attended Cherry Ridge Christian School and Bastrop High School. Kim was a very talented artist. Her art was chosen as the official poster of the 1987 Louisiana High School Football Championship. After high school, Kim attended the University of Louisiana at Monroe.
Cynthia Ann Williams was born in Bastrop, Louisiana on December 24, 1970. She attended Cherry Ridge Christian School and Bastrop High School. After high school, Cindy attended the University of Louisiana at Monroe. She was actively involved in college life, serving as a member of the Student Government Association.
